The narration was not great. It was, at times, monotone with no emotion. Also the English voices often sounded more Australian. Probably would have been a better read as opposed to listen.

A pleasant book to listen to, good narrator, decent historical fiction. It as it's moments of drama and emotion, but mostly it's a bit light on emotional depth and character. A happy ending is garenteed.

A mesmerising story of war and its effects.
Told from a female war correspondents viewpoint, we learn how civilians bore the burdens of WW II in England. Interwoven is the story of friendship, hope, resilience, and love.
