Amazing!

I absolutely loved this story. It's my first Susan Mallery book but it certainly won't be my last. I loved the variety of characters introduced and the hints of a backstory you got from each one. I found myself disappointed when the characters were disappointed and excited when the characters were excited. This story completely sucked me in. It took me less than 4 days to finish this book and I'll be moving on to the second one tonight. Definitely worth the read/listen.

Boring!

I like Susan Mallery’s books but I kept waiting for this one to start. She seemed to throw a lot of characters in to make you think there was a good story going on, but it fell totally flat for me. No strong female or male lead and no one to really like, set in a town that had..nothing to make me want to go there. Sorry, skip this one and you won’t be missing a thing. .

Fool’s Gold Revisited?

As a stand alone book, it’s an enjoyable read. As the first book in a series, it feels like another Fool’s Gold book. The somewhat quirky, small town with close friends and neighbors just moved to another location. The storyline and flow are the same. Any reader who enjoyed that series will enjoy this book. The continuation of the Mitchell brothers’ story was interesting and I look forward to learning more about how the family relationship develop. I think the initial characters are interesting and hope for more depth and intricacies as the series moves forward.

Not one of Susan Mallery's best

Definitely now my favorite Susan Mallery book. I have read a lot of her books but this one just seemed very rushed.

Hard to follow

There are too many references to past storylines, making it difficult to follow the current storyline.
