A really good book made great
Darcy Stark is a new narrator to me, I’ll be looking out for him in future and can’t wait to hear him narrate the rest of the series. I loved Joshua’s Rainbow when I read it and was putting my own voices in. But hearing the distinct changes for each character added that something extra.
Definitely a recommended listen.
Love me some Dragons.
I received this audio for review. I didn’t know it was available, I’d have listened to it on release.
I love the clan that’s being built here, even though this is Sam and Blaze’s story, the ongoing theme keeps developing and the other team clan members remain heavily involved. Sam and Blaze are well matched by fate and I’ve loved hearing them fall so far into love.
It’s pretty obvious to me who the leader of the hunters is and that’s going to hurt our guys deep down.
I’m also looking forward to the Shenanigans between Sanna and Pete.
It’s chilling the possibilities for the future and how we’ll live. This is one is realistically chilling and yet, full of possibilities Lee has a lot of realisations to make, but he comes through like a boss! Roman well he’s just awesome.
JCP is an awesome author, add in Joel Leslie and you have an incredible listen.
New to me.
I’ve read a couple by these authors individually but not as a collaboration, this is my first audio by them and also Colin Darcy the narrator. I really enjoyed the I’m a big bad Dragon vibe that Cory tried for, even in a world so far removed from the one he remembers. I like the way Emery, who has been an outcast all his life, finds a purpose. The secondary characters are interesting, I feel that Sam is going to play heavily in the next book. The groundwork has been laid for more in the series.
Colin Darcy is a new to me narrator. I like him! All the characters had distinct and easily recognisable voices and the book was performed well.
I loved the e book and this production just made it that much better.
The possibilities presented for this series is very promising. I can’t wait for more shifters to find their Vampire mates
Awesome book 1.
I read this book YEARSago, I thought I had the audio, but no! Thanks to JCP I’ve finally listened to this absolutely amazing audio. The books are compelling, the Audio is amazing. Gomez Pugh is every character and his English incubus is the best I’ve heard. Now I need to get all the rest. I can’t recommend this highly enough!
A very different and eminently plausible take on the Vampire legend. It’s a great story taken to the next level by an awesome voice actor. I loved it.
Heart warming seasonal joy!
Where does Texas Christmas rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I love that each audio book quickly becomes the voice of the narrator, thereby making every one or series very different. I love them all.
What other book might you compare Texas Christmas to, and why?
I try not to compare one book or series against another and enjoy each one in its own right. This is a series so the characters in each book just grow and mature with each telling.
What about Sean Crisden’s performance did you like?
Sean Crisden does an excellent job as the Texas cast and more recent books have been read with his voice in my head. I love the subtle changes he makes to each voice, so that character recognition is easy.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Definitely a one sitting listen if that’s possible. For me it took a few days
Any additional comments?
This series is an auto buy for me in both book and audio form and I look forward to the rest being released.
This series just continues to get better and better. Even though we are fast reaching the climax of the books the anticipation just builds and builds. I read new books with Mark Westfields voice in my head!
A wonderful book made AWESOME by Joel Leslie's incredible narration. So many different voices and accents all easily distinguishable. I sobbed over Horhae and Idelmo, more than when I read it myself. This series is so very recommended!
