I don't understand why all the good reviews

I love a good sci-fi, but feel I am seriously missing the point of this book! I was determined to stick with it as the reviews were so good, but after 5 hours in, yes 5 hours, when nothing had actually happened other than a few women walking around doing very boring mundane things, I finally gave in!
There was an interesting bit for about 10 minutes after the third hour, when they started talking about time travel, I thought here we go finally, but no, back to women talking about men again! Really???!!!

A 2 hour story - don't bother

If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?

Hadn't realised what this was when I downloaded it. A 2 hour story is not worth bothering with particularly when the story is not very interesting. Some arty farty types may disagree, but at the end of the day if a story is not very interesting and doesn't engage the listener, then any number of awards cannot change that!

All round excellence

Cannot fault the story or performance - all 3 books are fantastic. This may seem like a big commitment but hang in there and you will be rewarded with a fantastically well thought out adventure.

Cracking

Capricious, captivating and comprehending. An enthralling and detailed listen to the early life of one of Britain's best entertainers to date.

A 12 hour story stretched over 24

I initially found this audio book quite hard to follow as there was a lot of technical jargon - however it was a good start and I enjoyed it. However I found that the story changed track and lost its way somehow - too much detail which for a long time seem disconnected. It meandered on for about half the book before bringing all the strands together and was a good finish - however I found myself considering whether or not to continue with it on quite a few occasions which was a shame. Overall good story if it was half the length.

Good but takes a while

Another epic by Brandon Sanderson, and like his other books there's a long build up to a great finale. Unlike the Stormlight archives this book finishes well and leaves only a glimmer of the next chapter in the series.

Fascinatingly astounding

A very well read and fascinating book of everything. First hour or so was a little mundane but it really gets going after this.
