I enjoyed this book. It has an unusual writing style and jumps between characters which at first took some getting used to. The storyline was clever though and I enjoyed it. Excellent narrator
Cannot recommend this book enough. I have absolutely loved all the Milton books. This narrator is amazing and is perfect for the character.
Note to author, please don’t ever kill Milton, I would be devastated! Just keep writing the books! Thank you

This was the best in the series so far. I was disappointed at first that it wasn’t David Thorpe narrating, I hadn’t noticed that when I bought it but this narrator was also excellent.
This story is brilliant and has a fantastic ending which I felt was lacking somewhat in the last one.
Can’t wait for next in series

This book is ok
Not brilliant but not awful, a tad mediocre. Beginning is slow and dull and seems a bit pointless and the narrator although good, has a rather depressing northern tone. I almost sent it back. However, it picks up pace and I got into it. It is all a bit strange though, most of the way through I thought “why?”. Why does a nurse join up with two rogue ex military guys and then after 3 months training become pretty much an assassin. All just seems too unlikely. I much prefer the John Milton books, I wouldn’t bother downloading another in this series.

Load of rubbish. Give it a miss.
Unbelievably dull storyline with dull characters. Even with the amazing David Thorpe narrating, it still bored me to tears. I couldn’t care less who had done it. Save your money.
Brilliant book, super narrator. I loved the book was so long, at no point did it feel like it was just being padded out. The story was gripping and interesting, the characters good and David Thorpe could read the yellow pages and be captivating. Recommend
This is amazing
Wow what an amazing book. I admit I only bought it to hear David Thorpe’s voice and he only narrates a few lines (the only disappointment!). The story itself is brilliant although distressing. It was completely engrossing. It did give me nightmares and made me feel like I was going to have a panic attack about 4 hours from the end so I would not recommend listening to it if you have suffered domestic abuse. However it is very well written and told and completely addictive.
Best narrator in the world!
David Thorpe could read the yellow pages and make it sound interesting!
This was a really good book, unlike anything I have read before. Very good storyline and really thought provoking.

The author chose to narrate his own book, what a bad mistake. It is dreadful. He made everyone sound simple, it’s so bad it made me cringe.
The storyline is also ludicrous and has some really cringey parts, it felt really condescending and irritating listening to it as a woman. Lots of use of words such as minx and sweetheart and referring to Judy’s mother as the old dear when in fact she is probably in her 60s.
Listening to Judy and Doc interacting made me want to vomit it is so nauseating.
Urgh! Avoid like the plague.
I loved this book. It was really different to anything else I have listened to. The narrators are brilliant and the story line is gripping. About an hour and a half before the end I realised what was going to happen and it gave me goosebumps. The ending is brilliant as well. Highly recommend this book. Superb
