A brilliant book!

Story is fantastic, keeps you hooked right to the end. As for the narration - well I am an avid listener of the Archers, but not a fan of the character Adam Maceys voice......so when I first realised who the narrator was, I was unsure. BUT the narration is fantastic and shows a full range and depth.

Didn't quite meet expectations

The narration by Jonathan Keeble was as ever excellent; but the plot was a little laboured and predictable. It is a genre that I really enjoy, but didn't really add anything new. That said, I listened all the way through.

An easy listen

The narration was brilliant, but the story a bit 'old hat' as easy listen while ironing I would say!

Great story & excellent narration

Any additional comments?

I'm a fan of Gerald Seymour books - but again the narrator was superb, I love his voice and he really brings the book to life without being intrusive - if that makes sense!, I would but any audiobook that he narrated!!

Where does Field of Blood rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of Gerald Seymour's best

What about John O'Mahoney’s performance did you like?

An excellent performance he voiced the different characters well. I will look out for other books narrated by him.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Nearly!!

Unexpected but excellent

If you could sum up The Necessary Death of Lewis Winter in three words, what would they be?

Different, interesting and gripping

Any additional comments?

I loved it, and have already downloaded the next in the trilogy

Loved this!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this to anybody!

What other book might you compare Under Your Skin to, and why?

I would favourably compare this book to anything by Patricia Highsmith, - in that the book doesn't always go in the direction you expect and twists and turns! I read a lot of 'crime' novels and tend to think that I can spot all kinds of red herrings/endings/outcomes but this book managed to surprise me.

Any additional comments?

I absolutely loved the narration by Tracy-Ann Oberman, it was more of a one-woman shows than a narration, and will be looking out for anything else that she narrates.

Excellent listen

What made the experience of listening to Berlin Diary the most enjoyable?

I had the book on my reading wish list, and when I saw it was available on audible I took a chance. It was wonderful, and as I do most of my listening on the bus to and from work, the 'bite sized' chunks that a diary affords, made it perfect for my commute.

What did you like best about this story?

Historically it is fascinating to hear what someone living in Berlin at the time thought - I had read that it didn't really address the issue of anti-semitism and genocide; but I felt that it did. Maybe not to the detail that we now know, but it was made clear that journalists were not being given all the information they required.

Have you listened to any of Tom Weiner’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I haven't listened to any of Tom Weiner's other performances but I most certainly will now.

Any additional comments?

I only wish that William Shriver had stayed longer in Berlin - although he of course didn't want to!
