Great little trilogy

Really enjoyed this trilogy of books; they all link together nicely, are well written and read!
The cover and ‘metal’ and ‘punk’ aren’t something that appealed to me, but if you’re in the same boat, don’t let it put you off as that’s not a real factor in liking the story at all!
Definitely worth a credit and I’m looking forward to listening to more of Brian and Rick in the future!

5 stories in 1

What a great little story; 4 writers with different short stories all wrapped up within the overall story, such a great idea.
The book was very well read, although some of the accents (more the women and the upper class reading of their stories) weren’t 100% to my taste, but the rest were excellent.
Would happily listen to more from both author and narrator!

Enjoyable trilogy

Really enjoyed this series, but the first book was the best by far; I liked the unknown-ness (is that a word!?) of what was going on.
Saying that, it was nice to have the background and closure the second 2 books brought with them.
Both well written and well read. :)

Metal magic finale

A good ending to the trilogy and flows nicely from the other 2.
Another great story from Brian and well read by Rick.

Punk Pandemonium

Just like the first, a well read, well written story from a writer with a great imagination.
Really enjoying all of Brian’s creations so far and this follows on nicely from Metal Magic!

Metal Magic

I would never have dreamed I’d like this; from the cover or the blurb and I’m not a Metal fan either, but if you’re in the same boat, don’t let that put you off!!
I did enjoy it, it’s well read (although sometimes the pauses are a little long for me; possibly page turning moments?), the voices are good and atmosphere well set.
The story is great too, it doesn’t matter that it’s set in a ‘Metal’ background! Brian let’s you into his imagination and it’s a great place to be invited into!

Not as good as the first!

I didn’t enjoy this as much as the first; the impact had already been made in the first book and the scene had been set, so lost its element of surprise! This story is longer than the first and gives more background to the story, so it’s a good read if you’ve read the first!
Another well read and paced story and looking forward to the 3rd book.

Really enjoyed

It’s not often I give a short story a 4 as I feel they aren’t long enough to tick enough criteria for a 4, but I really enjoyed this!
I think it was the normalisation of a totally bizarre and fantastical occurrence with the undertones of darkness that I liked.
Well read, well paced and a great start to the trilogy!

Enjoyable

Nice little short story. Would preferred it to have been longer with a bit more character building and time-reference, but I appreciate its Not easy with a short story.
Well read with distinguishable characters.
Looking forward to next in the series. .

Gutted!

Can’t believe it’s over... I would quite happily listen to the adventures of the Greatcoats forever! Can’t wit for the series to be revived!
Again, narrator does a brilliant job!!
