Interesting thriller told by an unusual narrator

It's a great story with unexpected twists and well written narrative and pacing that keeps you interested all the way to the end. Fans of Scandi noir will definitely enjoy this book.

Wasn't so sold in the performance but the story was gripping enough to forgive the flat monotonous reader. Also was quite distracting because he had atrocious pronunciation of Korean words and names including the author's name.

epic read told through misunderstandings

hefty listen, but story well told and performed. couldn't wait till I got a chance to listen, was totally hooked. told from multi-perspectives, with their various misunderstands, felt like how truth is told in real life. little at a time, via different eyes. sequence of the story was interesting, not too sure how the lunar circle actually influenced the storytelling, world love to find out.

Intriguing and informative

Fascinating listen and though provoking, made me think about my own diet and relationship with my gut. Not at all dull and dry, found it entertaining and educational.

Interesting twist on gender roles

Written with imagination and humour, was very engaging story of looking at gender roles via tales of SciFi fantasy lens of heroes and villains. Bit like the TV show Heroes, but all the character genders were switched. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Expected more

Didn't find it as exciting or enjoyable as others. Tad predictable. Had great reviews so was expecting more than just a straight up story. Nothing surprising, nothing that made me wonder.

Hard to stay interested in

After watching The Night Manager on BBC, thought I'd give this a try. I enjoyed the series but don't think I'm a typical Le Carre reader. Can't quite recall what the story was about few weeks after. Certainly found his style hard to get into and stay interested in. Maybe fans of his books will enjoy this but wasn't for me.

Interesting but repetitive

Interesting but you'll get the point pretty early on. Rest of the book goes through various examples, not sure whether they are needed.

Interesting but get the point quickly

Entertaining enough but had a hard time listening beyond half way. Felt like different iterations of the point he made very early on.
