Really good intro to Gaiman.
This was the first Gaiman book I ever read, it's not too hard to get into, flows nicely and is an easy book to get through in one solid sitting or over a week.
An odd but interesting look at life.
I got this after riding the high from the Martian, while it is utterly different I am not disapointed. 8 minutes, what do you have to lose?

The best hard sci-fi in existence, period.
quite simply this is one of the best books I have read in the last few years. The mix of dark humor from the protagonists perspective, to the efforts made back on earth leave a tingle running down your spine for most of the book, I have never felt such a desire for a protagonist to survive like this. to top it all off the author is not afraid to show his math and it just works. Buy this audiobook, buy a hard copy, buy it for friends.
a tongue in cheek look at the pageantry behind fetish events. The authors knowledge and previous books culminate in a very funny parody. it's not particularly titillating but it's not meant to be. just pure comedy.
