If you could sum up A Brief History of Fighting Ships in three words, what would they be?
Understanding the Barque
Who was your favorite character and why?
The whole thing.Cameron Stewart read it well and had the right voice. I learned a lot about an interesting topic
Which scene did you most enjoy?
You have to listen to the whole thing to understand what life was like then and how finite.It was how the sailors and officers held everything together.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
David Davies takes you amongst the crew and their .It is so well done
Any additional comments?
I found myself tapping out my biscuits to make sure there were no weevils in them. Theses guys were as tough as present day Marines
