Summary

This book was originally published as Just A Family Affair.

The perfect comfort listen, brimming with humour and heart, from best seller Veronica Henry.

The Liddiard family are well known in the Cotswold village of Honeycote - and now there's a wedding being prepared for. But will everything go according to plan? Lucy Liddiard knows her husband is no saint, but isn't prepared for his latest confession. Bride-to-be Mandy has no idea what joining the Liddiards really means. And local girl Mayday, wild child, rebel and free spirit, is thinking the unthinkable - with unimaginable consequences.... A gorgeous story of finding love, finding happiness and finding yourself, A Country Wedding is the final book in the Honeycote trio. Each can be enjoyed as a standalone, or as a series.

Volume keeps dipping in and out

Lovely story and the narrator is good but the volume in this audio book dips in and out, initially thought it was my phone/ earphones, but tried on different devices and it continued, rather irritating to say the least!
New audio book works perfectly so was def something to do with this one!

Sound quality

The Sound quality at times was really poor - too quiet at times depending on the character

The story, I’ve listened to all 3 books about Honeycote and loved them all, enchanting stories and such escapism.

My only negative remark would be was that in places the sound was muffled and parts of the dialogue were missed. Maybe it was the recording but it only happened on the Country Wedding audio .

Bad audio

Lovely story. Great narrator. Bad audio. Audible have been informed and are fixing the problem.

Awful sound but good story

Struggled to hear the narrator, especially on the brummy accent! Such a shame as the story was good

An amazing trilogy not to be missed…..

Nothing I write can convey the raft of emotions and the array of adorable and intriguing characters this compelling trilogy contains. It’s like unwillingly buckling yourself into a fairground ride - going into the unknown and coming off realising you wouldn’t have missed it for the world. The world is Honeycote and I feel like I want to live there now as I’d be amongst the whackiest, colourful, alluring friends. I can’t recommend this trilogy highly enough but you must listen to the books in succession to get the ultimate experience. Rachel Atkins chocolatey velvet voice is the perfect accompaniment, a perfect pairing for sure. My plea is for Veronica and Rachel to come back with a ten years later following up.

OK storyline but audio quality very poor

I had heard a couple of this author's books on audible before embarking on this one. The storyline didn't grip me as others had done and in places it seemed muddled with too many characters, many of whom were quite odd. For me the story was spoiled by the fading of the voices from time to time, particularly in the latter chapters of the book. I listen as I am relaxing in bed and the drop in volume meant I was up and down either trying to adjust the volume or running it back to hear what had been said. Really not worth trying to listen to if this happens. Money would have been better spent elsewhere.
