Summary

The electrifying first novel in James Patterson's Women's Murder Club series.

As the only woman homicide inspector in San Francisco, Lindsay Boxer has to be tough. But nothing has prepared her for the honeymoon murders.

A brutal maniac begins a killing spree - slaughtering newlywed couples - and Lindsay takes on the case. She is sickened by the deaths, but her determination to bring the murderer to justice is threatened by personal tragedy.

So she turns to Claire, a coroner, Cindy, a journalist, and Jill, an attorney, for help with both crises - and the Women's Murder Club is born.

Good storyline . The background music spoiled it.

The background music was just awful , cheapened the whole book . Please update without this horrible addition , spoiled the good work of the narrators.

Brilliant Story ... Sound Quality Awful

I’ve always loved this story . I first brought it years ago on old fashioned cassette whilst on holiday and listened to it till the cassette wore out. I was really excited to see this on Audible as the story hooks you in even when hearing it for the tenth time. The performances are brilliant and I love the way the story is shared between two characters.

BUT the audio quality of this story is the worse I’ve ever heard on audile. At the very start the volume muffled then cleared up, but it did this intermittently throughout. At some points you could hear talking in the background as if another story is being read. I tested another book I had which was crystal clear so I know it’s not my iPad! The quality of the production is worse than my trusty old cassette!

Please, audible can you do something with this? Or product another version of this fabulous and gripping story. This is one of James Patterson’s finest and deserves to be heard to it’s best advantage.

very disappointing

What a poorly researched and badly made-up story. So many details sound like made up, and are impossible in real life. Bad storyline and poorly told. The performance is also poor. If you sie 2 persons then at least get the genders right.
