Critic reviews

"As in the earlier instalments, the book is chock-full of excitement and suspense from the first page to the last. It starts with a bomb at a nuclear plant in India, and along the way there is a charity black-tie card game, poison needles, car crashes, bullets, and exploding gel pens. Most of the backstory is explained, so no prior knowledge of the earlier books is necessary. Great for reluctant readers." ( School Library Journal)

Brilliant! ... my son's (and I) were gripped.

What did you like most about Crocodile Tears?

It is a real great story and genuinely exciting.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Crocodile Tears?

too many to mention but there is a great twist at the end.

What does Dan Stevens bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

yes, some decent playing on words and adding to the tension.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes ... we actually added time to our trips out so we could keep listening in the car.
