Summary

Nick Stone's future never looked so bleak. The only person he ever loved is dead. The only people who might give him a reason not to join her have turned their backs. Until a chance encounter with a man he saved ten years ago appears to throw him a lifeline. But on the bullet, and bomb, scarred streets of Baghdad, second chances are in short supply. A simple quest becomes a journey to the heart of a chilling conspiracy to assassinate the one man Stone believes can offer some salvation, but whom the darker forces of the West will stop at nothing to destroy.

Short and sad

It may have been better for me had Clive Mantle narrated it as he has for the past 6 books. SP did not quite sound right, although his reading was good, to me he wasn't Nick Stone.

As for the book well it tidied up some loose ends so a new chapter could begin. Short and conclusive.
