A butchered story

Ive been reading Dale Brown for years and thoroughly enjoyed the series. After giving up waiting for the unabridged version I bought this.

I wish I hadn't.

The story has been chopped by probably 10 hours, it has lost so much.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I read this book years ago and looked forward to listening to it. I regret buying the abridged version I found it less than satisfying.

Would you recommend Flight of the Old Dog to your friends? Why or why not?

The written book Yes the abridged audio book No

What does Richard Allen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

In this instance nothing However I would like to hear him read an unabridged version

Do you think Flight of the Old Dog needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

There are other books featuring the Old Dog andmany of the charachters in this book so the question is meaningless

Any additional comments?

A mediocre score has been given only because having read the book I found the cuts made to the abridged version spoiled my listening pleasure. If you have not read the book then this audio version may hold more attraction for you then is has for me
