A Good Read!

This is my first Mathew Reilly book, I was a bit sceptical at first because I have read reviews saying it was a bit slow..Nothing of the sort, I enjoyed it from start to finish, its a bit gung-ho and school boy heroish, but a good listen all the same.
The characters are well described and the book is well written & read by Steven Pacey.
The plot is good (if a bit far fetched!)but as with this type of fiction its pure escapism.
The lead character is James Bond & the terminator rolled into one! But don't be put off by that! As the plot unfolds the story gets better and the lead comes into his own.
My normal reads are Andy Mcnab, Chris Ryan & Frederick Forsyth.
For me this was equal to the aforementioned, although a little less believable.

What disappointed you about Ice Station?

There was little story and the author created characters whom I had little interest knowing if they lived or died. The un-necessary violence was laced into an incredible (ie unbelievable) story.

What will your next listen be?

Anything but from the same author

Would you be willing to try another one of Steven Pacey’s performances?

What character would you cut from Ice Station?

All of them!
