Three people. Three stories. And a desperate race for survival in a country in the midst of war. Nick Scott fought in the SAS during the first Gulf War. Captured and tortured, he was left a broken man. His daughter Sarah Scott is a beautiful young scientist who has cracked one of the scientific secrets of the age. Now, she has vanished. Her lover Jed Bradley is one of the SAS's toughest young agents, dropped behind enemy lines in the build up to the Iraq War to find the truth about Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction.
Caught up in a global power play, Nick and Jed must fight their way through a war-ravaged Iraq as the regime of Saddam Hussein collapses around them. It is a desperate race to find the woman they both love. And to unlock the secret of the Ultimate Weapon.

Gut Wrenching?

I can savely say my gut was not wrenched, as some of the quoted reviews say in the marketing hype. Instead it was ok. Chugged along at a reasonable pace but the usual Special Forces stuff. If you like that and can stand another story similar to the ones you have probably already heard - great. Don't expect anything stunning in the story department, but at the same time I have heard alot worse.....average

Narrator was a bit dull and could have put more expression into reading the book

Great story and action packed!

Would you consider the audio edition of Ultimate Weapon to be better than the print version?

Absolutely.. I love listening to books in bed when going to sleep or in the car and find it hard to actually "read" books because of those reasons. In fact, the only time I actually "Read" books is when sitting on the loo :)

What was one of the most memorable moments of Ultimate Weapon?

The suspense and action narrated perfectly by Stephen Tomkinson.

Which character – as performed by Stephen Tompkinson – was your favorite?

Don't really have a favorite character. I liked and enjoyed them all.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

My reaction was that it was hard to get to sleep because I wanted to keep listening to it. It's that captivating. I also spent quite a few hours (over the time that I read it) by sitting in the car park at work listening to the book for just a "little bit longer" :)

Any additional comments?

Great book and highly recommended for anyone that enjoys this type of genre
