Summary

Sea, sand ... and the slammer for Agatha!

Agatha Raisin thinks she's in for a treat when her ex-husband, James Lacey, invites her on holiday, but - horrors! - his idea of an idyllic break is the small, run-down resort of Burryhill-on-Sea. And from there on, things go from bad to worse. So when a fellow guest in their hotel is found murdered, Agatha herself is chief suspect - and has to solve this case from a locked police cell!

Wonderful story, wonderful narration.

Another fabulous tale of Agatha Raisin's antics. Penelope Keith has narrated all the books so far wonderfully well, she's the perfect person for the job.

Addictive!

The Agatha Raisin Series is as addictive as Agatha 's feelings are towards James Lacey.

Bit too much violence. Agatha meets Taggart

I love Agatha raisin stories mostly because they are somewhat three and a little unbelievable cozy is it in a very cozy world however this one was a bit too realistic and I was too much violence and I struggled with enjoying it as much as usual. I am dictating this on my iPad and too tired to go back and edit the errors errors! I love Penelope and she managed to do all the numerous accidents from common beaten wives to geriatric ex-paras. If anything there were too many unlikely characters and to be honest I got a bit lost. Just too modern and realistic and violent for me. Need Quiche of Death!

repetitive

The boring repetitive James Lacey returns...again!
and he's even got his old cottage back...again!
obviously no-one else wants to live in the Cotswolds anymore.
very samey, but read beautifully as always.

a good story and a good listen

Various twists and turns in the plot, well narrated by Penelope Keith. As you might suspect she does the upper class voices rather better than some of the others.
