Editor reviews
The late Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Art Buchwald spoke with American comedian and former co-host on The View Joy Behar about his life and career as a humorist and writer, touching on the events in his two-part memoir Leaving Home and I'll Always Have Paris. Buchwald's intelligent tough-guy persona lends particular humor to his reminiscences on leaving for Paris at age 21 on the G.I. Bill and working at The New York Herald Tribune as a nightlife columnist, and somehow managing to bluff his way into Grace Kelly's wedding.
Summary
The late Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Art Buchwald wrote over 30 books, including his two-part memoir, the best-selling Leaving Home, and I'll Always Have Paris. In 1986, he was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
