Summary

Only Willow has the power to defeat the malevolent Church of Angels, and they will stop at nothing to destroy her. Willow isn’t alone, though. She has Alex by her side - a trained Angel Killer and her one true love. But Willow will always be a half-angel, and when Alex joins forces with a group of Aks, she’s treated with mistrust and suspicion.

She’s never felt more alone - until she meets Seb. He’s been searching for Willow his whole life - because Seb is a half-angel too.Sequel to the bestselling Angel, this is an irresistible story of loyalty, conflict and love for older children.

A Great YA listen

Even though this book is YA I still found it enjoyable and an easy listen.
It continues Willow and Alex's story against the Church of Angels and the actual angels themselves.

Laurel Lefkow does a great job narrating and really helps bring the characters and story to life.

Long but enjoyable

Angel Fire is a long book but it didn't feel like it as the journey of Willow and Alex continues and they find themselves up again the Angel council. Working out who is friend or foe is not easy and when another half angel and gang of AKs in Mexico City are discovered, the world that Willow and Alex had started to like gets turned upside down and heartbreak is inevitable.

Although this book has the typical love triangle and trust issues that are found in a lot of young adult fiction, there is enough action and emotion running throughout to keep the momentum going, making Angel Fire an enjoyable read.
