Very solid advice

Mike bases his suggestions on evidence rather than garbage hype so definitely worth a read for someone wanting to change their physical appearance

Should have been read by someone else

The narration of this book is so frustrating. The narrator reads as if he is pointing to each word with his finger like a child who is learning to read. Fortunately, the Audible app allows for the playback speed to be adjusted. I've found that x1.20 speed works best. Once you get past the narration, the content is what makes this audiobook a worthwhile listen. Michael Matthews is certainly very knowledgeable about the subject of nutrition and weight training, so much so that I've listened to it multiple times. I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone who is interested in loosing fat and gaining lean muscle. I say 'anyone' because although some of the content may be male specific, there is plenty of content that would apply equally to women too.

Only an hour in...

But lots of cool stuff that he has described and explained, its very interesting to learn the science behind it all.

But wanted to post this link which I believe is the 'Bonus Content' Michael is referring to.

Basically, a good motivational book. But...

Inconsistent in places. And very macho, but hey, that's the genre. I'm glad I heard it but didn't like the style.

Allows anyone to get the body they desire

This book holds the tools in its inventory to help anyone build the body they want and the workout that it gives is flexible for everyone and focuses on building strength and size.

I recommend this to anyone as this really gives you an outlook on how to sculpt the body of your dreams with hard work.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No - some of the chapters on diet, routine & supplements are filled with information - I had to listen to these chapters several times over to check I was doing everything correctly.

Any additional comments?

I've been doing it only a month (5 times a week plus HIIT x3 times a week) & already seeing good results - I plan on completing the year and then re-revaluating my progress. I'm fairly new to body building so it was a perfect introduction for me. I'm very grateful I found this book. I feel more confident in the gym & just focus on my gains. Don't worry what other dudes are doing - just focus on your progress & your relationship with your health/body - this book is a good guide for that; no doubt about it. I think most PT's are scam artists, I've learned more from this book than any trainer I've ever had.
