One of them has a gun to his head. Who will pull the trigger?
When king of the underworld Vinny Butler goes into business with respected villain Eddie Mitchell, it's a match made in East End legend. Friends and family are treated like gold, enemies like rats - it's the life.
Then mysterious packages arrive, dead creatures and threats. Someone is out for revenge. Who the enemy is, nobody knows; anyone could be taking a pop. The gypsies who cursed Eddie, ghosts from Vinny's past, enemies needing revenge. Even their own flesh and blood? There are some people you should never cross, some who can't forgive or forget.
Who is the backstabber?
"This beautifully crafted, sharp, well-paced novel will keep you hooked until the very end. An outstanding tale of betrayal, violence and love. Buy it. Read it. You'll love it. I did." ( Amanda Prowse)
"Easily as good as Martina Cole." ( News of the World)
"[A] fast-paced tale with gritty authenticity." ( The Guardian)

This has been one rollercoaster of a ride; but all good things must come to an end and for that I am sad as I will miss the Butlers and the Mitchells, apart from one or two members that is.
I found this little gem when several of the books had already been released, and I am so glad I did. Listening to several installments one after the other really draws you into the lives of the people involved.
Narration was faultless and was absolutely perfect for this series.
I will certainly be watching for the next release from Kimberley Chambers, whom I consider to be one of the best authors I have had the pleasure to listen to.
