Summary
Apple "Core" Drew needs the Uncertain Saints MC like he needs air. He is barely making it through the day, and each one that goes by takes him closer and closer to hell. Literally, not figuratively. He's a half breath away from killing himself - maybe not by taking his own life, but he's not against making someone else do it for him. Then he meets her, the sister of a club member, and his whole outlook on life changes. And not for the better. Just as surely as he ruined his life, he ruins her life, too. One lapse in judgment on his part, and his one night of happiness turns into the worst nine months of his life.
She never saw it coming....
It was the beard. The beard made her do it. That's a good excuse for having sex with a man she barely knows, isn't it? Yeah, who was she kidding? It wasn't the beard. It was the way he looked so dejected and solemn. The sad look in his eyes pulls her in, and the way his rough hands touch her makes her stay. Awesome Apple and Courageous Kitt
Wow!! These books have become so engrossing I cannot put them down. I'm reading them back to back. Boy oh boy! I love how Kitt protected herself. My heart was in my mouth when I realized she got taken. You never know what you're capable of until your life or someone you love is threatened.
This creepy Jake got what he deserved, he's a terrible, terrible person. You should not ignore your instincts. Kitt told her brother, Apple and the other guys many times that Jake gave her the creeps but they did not take her seriously. In the end she was right Yet, when it mattered most, she did exactly what she needed to do to survive. Giving up was not an option for her after all she had been through. She has her child and wonderful man to live for.
I love everything about the whole story. It is brilliant. It's awesome when things like that happen and the women don't just curl up and freeze, but instead fight back and give their attackers hell. Especially when they don't expect it.
There is something fantastic and reliable about Apple and Kitt's story

Amazing follow on book from the rest of the series this author and notator are brilliant absolute love this series
