Summary

Fall in love at Bayside, where sandy beaches, good friends, and true love come together in the sweet small towns of Cape Cod.
Bayside Summers is a series of standalone steamy romance novels featuring alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered women. They're fun, flirty, flawed, deeply emotional, always passionate, and easy to relate to. Bayside Summers is part of the Love in Bloom romance collection by New York Times and USA Today best-selling and award-winning author Melissa Foster. While each audiobook may be listened to as a standalone, you might enjoy listening to the entire Love in Bloom series. Characters from each sub-series appear in future audiobooks.
In Bayside Desires...
As the co-owner of Bayside Resorts, Rick Savage has a fabulous beachfront resort where he works with his best friends and brother, and plenty of beautiful women to keep him company. When Desiree Cleary moves in next door to take care of her mother's estate, Rick sets his sights on the sexy and oh-so sweet pre-school teacher. But Desiree's sister isn't keen on the fast-talking playboy making moves on the younger sister she's never had a chance to get to know. And she has other ideas in store - like opening Summers Inn, a bed and breakfast that could be big-time competition for Rick's resort.
All Bayside books can be listened to as standalone audiobooks or as part of the series:

quick beach read

This is a sweet story although a bit slow. Preschool teacher, Desiree, is in Cape Cod for the summer after receiving a cryptic email from her mother. Thinking that her mother is gravely ill, she arrives only to learn that her carefree mother has mortgaged the family home and is taking off...it'll be up to Desiree and her half sister, Violet, to run her mother's art gallery and make payments. Desiree meets Rick Savage, part owner of the Bayside Resort, and the pair begin dating. Will there be an HEA or will risk-averse Desiree bolt? Great narration.

Good book!

I can see that this is going to be another great series by Ms. Foster and I can not wait to see the other books that come into this new series. I enjoyed watching Rick and Desiree fall in love and work through their family issues of loss, trust, abandonment, their insecurities as well as their family dynamics. This story was kind of had an insta-love feel but it worked without being cliché. The characters were well written with some amazing chemistry between them and the plot flowed well and did not feel rushed. The narration from Mr. Harrison continues to be performed well drawing the listener in to the story and making it an enjoyable book to listen to. I have yet to be disappointed by one of Ms. Foster's books and this one kept me interested from page one and fit well into a spin off of the Seaside series. I enjoyed this book from start to finish and would recommend it to others.
