In Dad is Fat, stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan, who’s best known for his legendary riffs on Hot Pockets, bacon, manatees, and McDonald's, expresses all the joys and horrors of life with five young children - everything from cousins ("celebrities for little kids") to toddlers’ communication skills ("they always sound like they have traveled by horseback for hours to deliver important news"), to the eating habits of four-year-olds ("there is no difference between a four-year-old eating a taco and throwing a taco on the floor"). Reminiscent of Bill Cosby’s Fatherhood, Dad is Fat is sharply observed, explosively funny, and a cry for help from a man who has realized he and his wife are outnumbered in their own home.

Funny parenting book.
Probably, He makes me laugh.
Jim... It's a book about himself.
5 kids catholic.
It's fun to listen to, many laughs. Though I thought he ran out of good material toward the end.

Dad is Fat and Inspired!
Jim Gaffigan is a real funny comedian and this book is no let down. If you are a parent, you'll thinks it hilarious, if your not a parent you will too! Its one of the funniest things I have read in a long time
Its more of an autobiographical look at Jim, his wife and his 5 kids life in and around there 2 bedroom apartment in New York. This doesn't do this justice as its a real laugh
So many cool things, like covering his big screen TV before his wife has their first home birth child, kids birthday parties, play dates, taking kids on holidays and parenting being a cult!
Oh it made me laugh and laugh. One of those books that, if you are listening with headphones in public, will make you laugh out load and scare people!
