Publisher's Summary

The behaviour of a Siamese cat is never predictable, as all owners well know. The calm of the Tovey household is once again torn to shreds when Doreen's cat Seeley instantly loathes the new arrival, Shebalu, and she - all five inches of her - loathes him back. And then, even worse, they become firm friends, and team up to create havoc. The characters of 'Cats in the Belfry' return with a vengeance: Father Adams, Miss Wellington and Annabel the donkey. But Seeley and Shebalu steal the show with their loveable mischief, and their antics will bring tears of laughter.

Lovely gentle story

What made the experience of listening to Double Trouble the most enjoyable?

The reader's very old fashioned reading of this books makes it a very comforting read. Reminded me of listening to stories on the radio or BBC when I was a child.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Double Trouble?

There are many as the cats are absolutely up to all the tricks and lead their owners a merry dance.

Which character – as performed by Joy Gelardi – was your favourite?

Doreen, the author, is the predominant voice she narrates and it is well done

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I found the book calming and a lovely evening listen before bed.

Any additional comments?

I so wish the rest of the series was available as I've had one further book from the local library but this still leaves five unavailable.
