The best non fiction book I've read in approx 18 months or so since reading Susan Cain's "Quiet". Deeply moving, fascinating and very easy to listen to -I found the narration perfect and not sure what other listeners issues were in this regard. Really cannot recommend this enough to anyone who has been touched by or is interested in themes of loneliness. I founs the four case studies are very touching in particular the first and the last.
This book discusses child abuse and is not happy reading. I bought it to assist me in dealing with loneliness. It didn't help.
Never have I heard a more excellent narrator. The level at which he captures the emotions is really is a level of its own league
