Summary

After almost four decades in the music business, David Foster - producer, arranger, songwriter, performer - is ready to speak.

In his compelling and outspoken memoir, Foster shares incredible stories from his years of working with music superstars, including Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Natalie Cole, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, and many others. Foster offers rare glimpses of the musical icons at work and shares his secrets for success in the fickle music industry.

At its heart, though, Hitman is the story of a boy with perfect pitch who grew up to become one of the most influential music forces of our time.

Interesting book, but what an ego!!

Lots of interesting stories and background information. Clearly, he is a very talented man, but what an ego!! I finished the book liking him a lot less than I did when I started it! His life has brushed shoulders with lots of other interesting people and he shares some insight into his working relationships but stops short of sharing any really juicy gossip. For that, you need Elton John's book!! I enjoyed it on the whole and would recommend it to a music fan!
