This is a story and read like a story, with no dramatization or changing of voices for characters. I thought it would be more like Call The Midwife, with lots of funny bits and interesting case histories, but it isn't. It's really about one woman's faith journey as a nun, and she happens to be a midwife for several years along the way. I stuck with it until the end, but it wasn't what I was expecting.

What did you love best about Sisters of the East End?
The honesty and faith in the characters
What was one of the most memorable moments of Sisters of the East End?
When sister Catherine met The Lord at the crossroads of her faith and found God had not left her.
Have you listened to any of Annie Aldington’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes. As real and clear as Call the Midwife was. Transported me into that time and social culture.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Any additional comments?
I am keen to find similar books. I love them
