In his own voice
Not having known much about his life, but recently finding out about his environmental activism I decided to listen to some of his Windstar concerts and then his autobiography. It is a treat to hear his story from his own lips. He tells it warts and all. A beautiful human being who despite struggling with his demons did much for his people and planet. A beautiful voice in every way. Thank you John Denver.

Beautifully read by a true legend
John Denver has always had a special place in my heart and I had read this book before but to hear it read by the man himself is truly wonderful. It's a great insight into the music industry in the 60's and 70's and an incredible journey of one human being who made a profound difference to so many people's lives. RIP John Denver. I love you x

So sad.
It is obvious from this autobiography that some areas of John's life were so much sadder than his glorious songs and public personality implied.
In some respects I wish I hadn't read it, as it has tarnished my opinion of John a little.
Having said that - sometimes the truth hurts.
