Summary

An Epic of Two Worlds

In a world as rich and real as our own, Richard Rahl and Kahlan Amnell stand against the ancient forces which besiege the New World - forces so terrible that when last they threatened, they could only be withstood by sealing off the Old World from whence they came. Now the barrier has been breached, and the New World is again beset by their evil power.

War and treachery plague the world, and only Richard and Kahlan can save it from an armageddon of unimaginable savagery and destruction.

In Blood of the Fold, Terry Goodkind, author of the brilliant bestsellers Wizard's First Rule and Stone of Tears, has created his most masterful epic yet, a sumptuous feast of magic and excitement replete with the wonders of his unique fantasy vision.

Amazing

Amazing book from the overall series. The story is intricate and the writing captivated. The one thing I don’t like with Terry Goodkind is he reiterates parts of the overall story at times which can sometimes feel slow for the reader, but really it’s insignificant in the overall of the story. Wasn’t so keen on this narrator, but that’s just down to personal preference.

Epic

I find this series gripping and emotional. This is my second listen to the entire series but I still find tears coming at points. Highly recommended

Great book. Eventually!

Great story, memorable voice, well read. The gaps between the chapters are way too long!

And so it continues...

Would you consider the audio edition of Blood of the Fold to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version yet but the hard copies are pencilled in for addition to my library.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Blood of the Fold?

The end. You gotta love Zed!

Have you listened to any of Buck Schirner’s other performances? How does this one compare?

No, first time.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Always those moments between Richard and Gratch. That they could become so fond of each other before really knowing why.

Any additional comments?

Whats with the Rada Han? Why is no character left unaffected in this story - it's used so much it's like a punctuation mark. For something so difficult to escape from, they sure dont seem to work well. This is the biggest flaw in the story, its use fits the plot ok but was used too much.

Superb

Really enjoyed this well narrated and lots of character development. Love how the previous books have laid the ground work for so many ‘destiny’ moments in this episode.

Was a tad linear with all the climax seemingly at the end with little climax and anti-climax progression in the middle.

The story continues. Frustrating at times but a good story. Dont listen to critics, give it a go.
