Summary
The exclusive behind-the-scenes story of the Mauricio Pochettino revolution at Spurs, told in his own words.
Since joining the club in 2014, Mauricio Pochettino has transformed Tottenham from underachievers into genuine title contenders. In the process, he has marked himself out as one of the best young managers in the world, more than holding his own against the Premier League's established heavyweights. He has done so by promoting an attacking, pressing style of football and by nurturing homegrown talent, fully endearing himself to the Spurs' faithful along the way.
Guillem Balagué was granted unprecedented access to Pochettino and his backroom staff for the duration of the 2016-17 season, and he has therefore been able to draw on extensive interview material with Pochettino, his family, his closest assistants, players such as Dele Alli and Harry Kane and even a very rare conversation with Daniel Levy to tell the manager's story in his own words.
From Pochettino's early years as a player and coach to his transformation of Tottenham into one of the best teams in England, this audiobook uniquely reveals the inner workings of the man and of his footballing philosophy. It also lays bare what it takes to run a modern-day football team competing at the highest level over the course of a single campaign. The result is the most comprehensive and compelling portrait of a manager and of a club in the Premier League era.
Read by Piers Hampton.

Excellent
Once you get past the fact that the narrator has a posh English accent that is nothing like Pochetinos. it's very enjoyable. The narrator actually gets into the soul of Pochetino very well & the occasional mispronunciation that gives away slightly that he probably isn't a football man are minor gripes. II started this in hardback & finished it with the audio book. both were equally satisfying.

good insight into football management
as a spurs fan its a real insight into the behind the scenes stuff.
far more honest and informative than the tainted and biased dross
dished out in newspapers.it makes for positive reading at the end
of our current and dissapointing season.maybe they should do one
at the end of every season? i would recommend it to fans of any
football club as the perfect gap filler in the close season.

Insight into a dedicated and driven leader
Well written first person diary style biography - it really captures the voice of the manager, it feeling true and real - which it is (but isn’t).
The anecdotes shared are fascinating and reveal the driven and determined nature of this football manager. He comes across as personable and passionate as strong and reflective.
I would recommend this to all Tottenham fans and sensible bipartisan football fans. You don’t need to be spurs to appreciate the underlying content (Southampton & Espanyol feature strongly) but his comments on games and players are bound to resonate more to fans of those teams than haters.

Inspiring and a real side to modern football
Essential listening for any Spurs fan. Learn what Poch is all about. If you want to have an opinion on the project underway at our club then you have to hear this. If you are not a Spurs fan but are keen to see what it takes to develop a player and build a squad that performs at the highest level the this is also for you. I'm left even more in love with Poch and his commitment to keeping football real and playing for the right reasons. Amazing. Inspiring. COYS
