Summary

If your job is getting you down or your boss is a pain in the ****, this audiobook is for you. The biggest chunk of your life (when you're awake) is spent at work. If your work life is wrong then your whole life is wrong. You've got two options: learn to enjoy the job you're in now or leave and get a new one. Whatever you do, don't put up with second best.

Once you've downloaded this audiobook, you won't even remember what second best was. This book contains tracks on what to do if you dread giving presentations (the Western world's biggest fear after heights), how to switch off when you get home from work, how to get back the balance of power if your boss is a bully, and how to get yourself out of one job and into another if you can't see the wood for the trees. It's also got a couple of tracks on how to deal with losing your job and maximising your chances at interviews.

Popular psychologists The Quick Fixers are the designers of Human Predictive Technology(TM) - a cherry-picked blend of human behavioural psychology, Neuro-Linguistic Programming and broadcasting (TV and radio) communication techniques. With their unique, double-headed presentation style, they talk to you using the very techniques that they are teaching you. This means that they can talk to both the conscious and subconscious parts of your brain simultaneously so you learn without even having to try. Before you know it, this new stuff becomes second nature just like when you learned to ride a bike. Listen to these tracks more than once for maximum effect, especially just before that presentation, interview, or meeting. If your work matters, then you really need this.

Could have been much better

This very short title didn't do it for me. I understand that this covers some classic NLP techniques but without an introduction, any background or explanation of what you're doing, to my mind this was the audio equivalent of reading someone's jotted notes on an envelope or the essay you wrote on the bus to school. This is a shame because there is the basis of a book here.

I Hate My Job Review

I do hate my job so I thought I'd buy this. It includes more than I first thought. Basically it covers how to make the job you are stuck in, better. But it also covers things that are useful if you are looking for a new job. My favourite bits were how to switch off at the end of the day, how handle my boss and how to give better presentations.
