Simple little Book

A simple and practical little book that gives you a framework to start taking responsibility for your anxieties over public speaking. If you are exploring your anxieties when speaking, understand that there is no book on earth that will take away the anxieties completely. The only way out it through, by taking responsibility and studying the small steps, you can slowly build confidence. A couple of other points that I believe are pertinent. 1) You will probably underestimate just how common the fear of public speaking is. Normalise it, so many people avoid at all costs that you'll never see them. Therefore, congratulate yourself for having the bravery to sit with the anxiety. 2) Your anxiety is part of you, by accepting it and not fighting it, it can transform who you are. Seriously, I have an on-going history of panic attacks in public speaking but I have found through acceptance, I have more courage to go into the anxiety provoking situations. By allowing yourself to be anxious, your paradoxically can become less anxious! By also allowing others to see you anxious, you give other people permission to do the same. You empower people who would perhaps avoid to take a chance at growing, a really important gift. Good luck to all on their journey!

Thanks

The tips in this audiobook aren’t anything I haven’t heard before during online research or when talking to colleagues so it’s certainly not going to help me overcome my public speaking phobia, but a nice easy listen read with a nice friendly tone.

Outstanding!!!!!!!!!

What made the experience of listening to Overcoming Your Fear of Public Speaking the most enjoyable?

This was just so useful. I managed to listen to it on the train on a short trip heading towards a client's site. I believe it enabled me to get the deal.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Well there was only one character! The narrator made it very clear, and the recording was good to listen to.

Which character – as performed by David Ayers – was your favourite?

As I said there was only one. It was faultless.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

I hope there are more like this. It is long enough so that you get value for money, but not so long that you lose interest. It's ideal for a train journey.
