Thought Provoking and Informative

I enjoyed the book and it is a good follow up to his other book.

Dave Lakhani's style is engaging and informative and the information provided does provoke various insights and ideas that should be useful no matter whom you wish to persuade.

It should be noted that the ideas and techniques described will require a lot of thought and practice; if they are to be used effectively. This isn't going to turn you into a master manipulator over night but I was persuaded that it would be beneficial to anyone willing to put in the effort.

No secrets, no persuasion

For such a schlocky title, you'd hope the content would be a little more racy! Instead, this is a dry ramble on the author's thoughts and speculations. There are no real "secrets" and virtually zero real life examples. It's just supposition and conjecture. Then there's the delivery - sounds like a 14 year old who doesn't want to be speaking at the school assembly; head down, power through it as quickly as possible. Think this will be getting returned...

Not what I thought it would be

The book is an ok listen at best. It has some good points, but not the persuasive book I was looking for. It focused more on larger audiences in most cases, so if you are a one on one salesman, this book will not help you nearly as much if you are looking to pinpoint specific behaviors from a client.
