I should have realized this was mostly about how t
-The type of microphone recommended. I had it.
-Not to do a lot of Dragon's speaking exercises because it doesn't train Dragon for me. I wasn't.
-Practice with my phone apps that do voice to text. (Have been for years.)
-Practice until I get better.
-The experience of the author and his compelling reason for beginning to investigate dragon.
I haven't yet investigated the bonus material.
After I do that I may change my rating, but for now I am not sure that this had anything to do with training Dragon software for writers specifically.

Super helpful, grate starting place
The material in this book has been super helpful to me. I suffered a brain injury earlier this year and have found that I am no longer able to sit in front of a computer and write. This has been devastating, but this book is super encouraging. I am just starting out with dictation and this provided me a lot of information to get started. Initially it was hard to understand the narrator, but I got used to it and it was much better from there on.
