Summary

In the explosive finale to New York Times best-selling author Jeaniene Frost's Night Prince series, Vlad is in danger of losing his bride to an enemy whose powers might prove greater than the Prince of Vampires'. In the wrong hands, love can be a deadly weapon.

For nearly 600 years, Vlad Tepesh cared for nothing, so he had nothing to lose. His brutal reputation ensured that all but the most foolhardy stayed away. Now, falling in love with Leila has put him at the mercy of his passions. And one adversary has found a devastating way to use Vlad's new bride against him.

A powerful spell links Leila to the necromancer Mircea. If he suffers or dies, so does she. Magic is forbidden to vampires, so Vlad and Leila enlist an unlikely guide as they search for a way to break the spell. But an ancient enemy lies in wait, capable of turning Vlad and Leila's closest friends against them and finally tearing the lovers apart forever.

Brilliant Complex Plot

I love Jeaniene Frost books - adored the Cat and Bones series and loved this ,Vlad and Leila set. As always Vlad is trying to keep Leila safe and the forces in play are trying to stop him.

We see a number of the previous characters who hold pivotal roles in the storyline plus necromancers and demons.

As the tale progresses the are two events that I had not expected including a betrayal. I read so much that I can often see where the storyline is going but I love it when it doesn't progress as expected.

Although I understand this is the last book in this series I am sure there must be a book to come which follows Ian and the Law Guardian, Veritas.

Brilliant Complex Plot as always from Jeaniene Frost. I believe I am prejudiced as I immediately buy any new book as it appears

This Whole World is excellent.

A tense, exciting addition to the Night Prince/ Night Huntress series, Into the fire is a pretty gruesome story with a dark intense plot that still, at it's heart is a romance and it delivers on both fronts. Not for the squeamish maybe, but what do you expect when you are dealing with Vlad?
I have many books narrated by Tavia Gilbert and I always expect great things from her, because I know just how talented she is. I was not disappointed. She delivered a five star performance throughout.

Check out of 2020

Probably the most addictive books I’ve listened to, fantastic performance by Tavia. I finished the series in a week and found myself struggling to think about much else. I can’t wait to get stuck into her other titles. Make sure to read them in order.

Didnt Enjoy This book as much as the last one

I didnt enjoy this book as much as the last one in this series.
I think Leila was just a tool to use for a few too many "how much pain can we make her endure" scenes.
The story was a little repetitive.
Leila gets hurt, Vlad gets mad, it just seemed bland.
There was a few good chapters, but they all seemed to contain Ian as the driving force for my enjoyment.
I think I'm just tired of Liela put through the worst pain possible, for Vlad to get his rage on.
I didnt hate this book, but I think im just tired of the dynamics between Liela and Vlad.
on a side note, for a 500yr+ Vampire he needs some new tricks in the bedroom..

Not a great final book to the series

This book seemed like a bit of a jumbled mess, with random scenes and then rushing off to somewhere else to kill more people. The earlier books in the series were much better. The relationship didn’t seem as strong either. Still an ok listen but nowhere near as good as what the author can do. Shame!

Amazing story

Another amazing story by Jeaniene Frost, loving the interesting take on the historical character Vlad Tepesh. Horror, supernatural elements, romance & smut - makes for a brilliant listen. Brilliant series. Tavia Gilbert is very good at bringing the characters & the story to life! Definitely recommend! Couldn't put it down - listened to it at work. I love how the characters have evolved over the series. Upset the series has ended.
