Summary

From master storyteller Michael Morpurgo comes "Friend or Foe". Evacuated from London, David and Tucky feel like the war is a long way away from their new life in the countryside. From master storyteller Michael Morpurgo comes "Friend or Foe". Evacuated from London, David and Tucky feel like the war is a long way away from their new life in the countryside. Then one night the skyline of the moor is lit up with gun flashes, and the distant crump of bombing miles away brings the war back to them and shatters their new-found peace.

When a German bomber crashes, the boys feel they should hate the airmen inside. But one of them saves David's life…

Friend or foe

I was lucky enough to have meet Michael Morpurgo as a child when I was on a school trip and had him sign a copy of this book remains one of my favourite books from my younger years

Wonderful feel-good factor book

I loved the dulcet Devon tones of this narrator, and Morpurgo's endearing plotline once again.

Friend or Foe

I loved the fact that this was an unabridged version which allowed me to use it as a whole class text within my classroom and the children were able to follow along. It is well read and the character voices were good. The length is good and I'm sure would be a great addition to any childs collection.

Beautiful

Heartwarming tale of conflicting sides finding something in common. Listened to this during a car journey with the kids - 8, 10 and 11.

Fantastic

Beautiful book.. Really well read such a lovely story about 2 boys doing what they feel is best. It teaches that it doesn't matter what we do we are all humans and sometimes need a little help
