I bought the audio book for my 10 year old daughter, who is a significant Jacqueline Wilson fan. We all listened to the audio book on a long car journey through Europe. It was a pleasant tale and everyone in the car enjoyed the Story. it's great how jacqueline wilson delights her readers with historical facts. The only downside is that Jacqueline Wilson herself reads the story and I found her voice soporific and lacking in character. Despite this I would recommend this audio book and have purchased another one.

I loved the twists and turns in this book. Jacqueline Wilson always knows how to tug at your heart strings and make you feel like you are the character and that's a really good skill. I would recommend this book to all Jacqueline Wilson fans because it's an approach I love. Taking you back in time. Out of of the Jacqueline Wilson books I have read so far this has been the best. It's super exciting but emotion yet adventurous. I rated full stars on everything because everything was full star quality.

Would you try another book from Jacqueline Wilson and/or Jacqueline Wilson?
Has Hetty Feather turned you off from other books in this genre?
Have you listened to any of Jacqueline Wilson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Did Hetty Feather inspire you to do anything?
Any additional comments?
If you don't mind listening hour after hour to a depressing story of children suffering, being ripped away from the only parents and siblings they ever knew, waiting for a rescue of some sort, that never comes, then this may be for you. It drew me in since the narration is perfection. But the story is completely unsatisfying. I really wish I hadn't wasted all of those emotional hours hoping for the heart wrenching situation these children were in to end. But in my view, it never does.
