Where does Star Wars: Jedi Quest, Book 2: The Trail of the Jedi rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Hmm. That is a little hard for me to answer because I have listened to over a hundred audiobooks in my life. My favorites tend to be Star Wars audiobooks and many of those were high quality productions.
Having said that, it usually takes me at least several days to finish unabridged productions. Sometimes weeks if I am busy and the story is good but very long. Not here. I consumed the book in two sittings, within the very same day. The tale flowed so well I didn't want to stop. It wasn't a Star Wars literary masterpiece. But it did a very good job of entertaining me so I have to give it a good rating.
Overall, I can easily put it in my top 20. For unabridged audiobooks under 4 hours long that I enjoyed enough to finish in a single day, it is currently my favorite Star Wars audiobook. And that's the highest compliment I can give.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Star Wars: Jedi Quest, Book 2: The Trail of the Jedi?
Spoiler Alert!
Last Warning!
Granta Omega's omnious dialogue near the end. After everything that happened in the fast paced novel, it definitely feels that he will be the primary antagonist of the Jedi Quest series. And I have a feeling that I am really going to enjoy this ride.
What does Jonathan Davis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The bickering between the bounty hunter siblings. These new characters amused a lot and the performance of Jonathan Davis brought them to life. Really well done.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Darkness comes to an unspoiled world.
Any additional comments?
I have been thoroughly enjoying this book series so far. I read the previous book a long, long time ago but never managed to get the rest. Now I am making up for lost time with the help of audible and it has been a pleasant experience.
Now, Jedi Quest #3: The Dangerous Games, here I come!
