Publisher's Summary

Rachel and Adam are sent to stay with their grandmother, following their parents' divorce. But the quiet English village is a sinister, unsettling place. Is there a dark heart beating beneath the thatched roofs of Triskellion? It is a place protected by an ancient, three-bladed artefact; a village where crops never fail and where the war memorial is blank; a community with much to protect. With the help of the mysterious Gabriel, Rachel and Adam begin to unearth centuries-old secrets and make a shocking revelation about their family's past and their own future.

Interesting Listen

Interesting story, it started off a bit slow but it picks up fast about a third of the way in. I was intrigued by the murky history of Triskellion, but maybe left feeling like I wanted a bit more from the story. (However, there is another 2 books I can investigate for answers)
Teresa Gallagher displays a plethora of impressive vocal performances, which really enriches the story. Though the American accents are perhaps a little cringy to begin with, you get used to them.
The use of music was a surprising addition, and while it seemed a little random at the start of the story, the placing and effectiveness of it became much better towards the end.
All in all, an unusual but enjoyable listen.
