Summary

Alice is feeling bored and drowsy while sitting on the riverbank with her elder sister. She then notices a talking, clothed white rabbit with a pocket watch run past. She follows it down a rabbit hole....
Alice in Wonderland is a novel written by English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll. It tells of a girl named Alice falling through a rabbit hole into a fantasy world populated by peculiar, anthropomorphic creatures. The tale plays with logic, giving the story lasting popularity with adults as well as with children. It is considered to be one of the best examples of the literary nonsense genre. Its narrative course and structure, characters, and imagery have been enormously influential in both popular culture and literature, especially in the fantasy genre.

Classic great story let down by poor narrator!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Would have done had it not been for narrator who has a boring monotone voice. LOVE Alice in Wonderland as a story and so this came as a disappointment! :(

What did you like best about this story?

Classic and love the characters!! :)

Who might you have cast as narrator instead of Peter Yearsley?

Stephen Fry - his reading of Harry Potter series heard recently was magical and sparkling and believe he would bring the same to this well loved classic!!

Do you think Alice in Wonderland needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No, its a book complete in itself.

Any additional comments?

Please refer to comment 're narrator above: a book as classic and well loved as this is DESERVING of not just a good narrator but an EXCELLENT one!
