Summary

"An die Freude" ist eines der berühmtesten Gedichte Friedrich Schillers. Es entstand im Sommer 1785 und wurde unter anderem von Ludwig van Beethoven im 4. Satz seiner 9. Sinfonie vertont.
Mit hohem Pathos beschreibt diese Ode das klassische Ideal einer Gesellschaft gleichberechtigter Männer, die durch das Band der Freude und der Freundschaft verbunden sind.
