A Wodehouse Detective Mystery

As a longtime lover of the whole canon of PG Wodehouse, it was with considerable surprise that I found this detective mystery by the great master. Not a genre I had associated him with. But this find was really great: It’s short, it’s a simple story - comedic in plot - with a rather unexpected twist at the end - but full of the descriptive prose that we would expect from Wodehouse. Personally, I would have preferred the tale to be retold in a british accent (the action takes place in Southampton and London), but BJ Harrison decided differently (!) and he certainly does an excellent job with the retelling and the characters. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Not what I expected....

I got this because it is a PG Wodehouse. I found it quite poor, the narration and the story below what I expect from a Wodehouse.
Quite disappointed thank goodness it is a short story !
