Lovecraft, "The Call of Cthulhu".
Doug transports you into Lovecraft's world of indescribable horror, accompanied by Alistair Lock's outstanding orchestral score. Edgar Allan Poe's well-known allegory on our mortality, "The Masque of the Red Death", follows. Then Jeffrey Combs reads the concluding part of Lovecraft's Herbert West: Reanimator series, "The Tomb Legions". All good, 2 excellent

One aspect of the Spinechillers series I appreciate is the introductions. They give background and context to the stories and their authors.

They also have quality sound effects and music which enhance rather than detract from the narrative.

1) Number 13 - Written by M.R. James, Read by Doug Bradley
2) Tobamory - Written by Saki (H.H. Munro), Read by Doug Bradley
3) The Call of Cthulhu - Written by H.P. Lovecraft, Read by Doug Bradley
4) The Masque of the Red Death - Written by E.A. Poe, Read by Doug Bradley.
5) Herbert West: Reanimator (Part V of V) Read by Jeffrey Combs

I enjoyed stories 1 and 3, both for the stories themselves and the narration.
I wasn't much impressed with story 2 and I found stories 4 & 5 too unpleasant but Both Doug Bradley and Jeffrey Combs are excellent narrators.
