Good story, not so great reader

I have a collection of Sherlock Holmes audiobooks, some excellent, some good, some not so good. This is one of the not-so-good ones. The reader sounds like an auctioneer, way too fast. Sherlock Holmes stories need to be savored, enjoyed, not read like "let's get it over with". Dissapointing.
