Summary

The pain of love; the passion of revenge.
Dumas' tale transports the listener back to the beginning of the 19th century. This Anglo-Canadian production of Alexandre Dumas' epic of torment and injustice is set against a backdrop of British triumph and French defeat. Napoleon languishes in exile, Russia breathes again, and one young man - the epitome of industriousness, sensitivity, decency - is flung into the nearest thing to an oubliette...the infamous Chateau d'If.
His return to the scene of this betrayal years later reveals quite a different man from the one jailed by the authorities in the first place. No mild youth this! The man who comes back has, it seems, unlimited power....

Too “abridged”

So much of the original story was left out that this was hard to follow. Also, the background sound effects were quite loud and at times made this difficult to listen to. I do not recommend this version.

Not good

Very misleading. Only 4 chapters were available. Don't buy unless you're okay with only receiving 4 chapters.
