Summary

Cuculian, "The Hound of Ulster," is the champion of Ireland and is best remembered for his single-handed defense of Ulster.

The author of these accounts is Standish O'Grady (1846-1928), whose writings earned him the title "Father of the Irish Renaissance."

This is the first time Cuculian's story has been available in audio.

Very atmospheric

Well read, really builds up the atmosphere, and I didn't get too lost with names and places!

Loved it, wish there were more classic sagas available.

Warning skip Chapter 7

A fantastic take on the legend. A must read if you are interested in Celtic lore. However for this version of the audio book for what ever reason Chapter 7 is the same as the last chapter. So skip it as not to spoil yourself.

Exhilarating

This was a magnificent evocation of a time of legendary heroes related by an ancient bard. It was a truly exhilarating performance.
