Summary
Em adores her funny, glamorous dad – who cares if he's not her real father? He's wonderful to her, and to her little brother Maxie and sister Vita. True to form at Christmas, Dad gives them fantastic presents, including a real emerald ring for his little Princess Em.
Unfortunately he's got another surprise in store – he's leaving them. Will Dad's well-meaning but chaotic attempts to keep seeing Em and the other children help the family come to terms with this new crisis? Or would they be better off with a clean break – just like Em's arm?

One of the best books I have read
This book 📚 was brilliant it was so good one thing would happen that would lead to the next I would strongly recommend this to any Jacqueline Wilson lovers

Loved this story this is a OG
Here’s a summery Emily confronts her father, and he owns up to his cheating, and by the next morning he has left. After Emily's step-dad walks out, the rest of the family struggle to get along without him. Emily takes up swimming, where she becomes more fit, loses weight and gains confidence within herself this book is so good I loved it it’s a 10/10

Outstanding great fabulous extraordinary
My daughter thought this book was excellent and would reas it over and over again. Great performance from Helen Lederer and Fabulous writing by Jacqueline Wilson. I would totally recommend for 8 and above because younger children might think this book a bit sad. Thanks
