Summary

Here's volume one of the best of the Sony award-winning BBC Radio 4 series, Goodness Gracious Me. Nothing escaped the satirical eye of Britain's phenomenally successful, all-Asian sketch comedy show. So get your taste buds ready for the blandest dish on the menu in "Going for an English", prepare to let your heart pound at the Indian recreation of "Brief Encounter", and sing along to profound words of wisdom with "Fifty Ways to Leave Your Mother". Hilarious, irreverent, and barrier-breaking.

Intelligent Humour!

We love this series. It does not laugh at the Indian culture, but with it. The funniest sketches are those which take a situation and play with expectations. Going For An English puts 4 Indians in a Bernie Inn after a night out drinking, and the way they behave and talk to the waiters is as 4 English lads going for a curry after a night out in the pub.
The first series is much, much better than the second - don't bother with that one.
